Guillaume François Larouche est Fellow Marie Skłodowska-Curie du programme Horizon Europe GEM-DIAMOND (Globalisation, Europe, and Multilateralism – Democratic Institutions, the rise of Alternative Models and mounting Normative Dissensus) de l’Union européenne. Il poursuit actuellement un triple doctorat en droit européen à iCourts, le Centre d’excellence pour les tribunaux internationaux et la gouvernance de l’Université de Copenhague, sous la direction du professeur Mikael Rask Madsen, en études internationales à l’École supérieure d’études internationales de l’Université Laval (ESEI), sous la direction du professeur Jean-Frédéric Morin, et en sciences juridiques à la Faculté de droit de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles, sous la direction de la professeure Chloé Brière.

Chercheur doctoral affilié à la Chaire de recherche du Canada en économie politique internationale de l’Université Laval et au Centre de recherche en droit public de l’Université de Montréal, Guillaume François est titulaire d’une maîtrise en droit (LL. M.) avec concentration en commerce international et investissement étranger de l’Université d’Ottawa (pour laquelle il a reçu la mention « Excellent »), d’un baccalauréat en droit (LL. B.) de l’Université Laval et d’un certificat supérieur en droit français et européen de l’Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.

Il est membre du Barreau du Québec depuis janvier 2020 et a pratiqué le droit public à Montréal.

Outre ses intérêts de recherche et sa pratique du droit, Guillaume François s’intéresse à l’histoire, à la littérature française, aux voyages, aux activités de plein air et aux sports (natation, course à pied, cyclisme, yoga et ski de fond).

Guillaume François Larouche is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Fellow within the Horizon Europe GEM-DIAMOND project (Globalisation, Europe, and Multilateralism – Democratic Institutions, the rise of Alternative Models and mounting Normative Dissensus). He is currently pursuing a triple PhD degree in European Law at iCourts, the Centre of Excellence for International Courts and Legal Governance at the University of Copenhagen under the supervision of Prof. Mikael Rask Madsen, in International Studies at the École supérieure d’études internationales de l’Université Laval (ESEI) under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Frédéric Morin, and in Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law of Université Libre de Bruxelles under the supervision of Prof. Chloé Brière.

An affiliated PhD researcher with the Canada Research Chair in International Political Economy at Université Laval and with the Centre de recherche en droit public de l’Université de Montréal, Guillaume François holds a Master of Laws (LLM) with Concentration in International Trade and Foreign Investment from the University of Ottawa (for which he received the mention “Excellent”), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Université Laval, and an advanced certificate in French and European Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.

He is a member of the Barreau du Québec since January 2020 and practiced public law in Montreal.

Besides his research interests and law practice, Guillaume François is interested in history, French literature, travel, outdoor activities, and sports (swimming, running, cycling, yoga, and cross-country skiing).
