Catherine Régis réponds aux questions de Karen Seidman sur le « tourisme médical ».

“There is no question that health care is becoming more global and medical frontiers more blurred,” said Catherine Régis, a researcher in the faculty of law at the Université de Montréal. “But as governments look to diminish costs, should they advocate for medical tourism as a more common practice?”
Having just completed a research paper on that topic for Health Law Journal, Régis believes it’s an idea that needs much more investigation into the legal, ethical, economic, psychological and medical implications of delegating certain health services to foreign hospitals.
